New flat top sizes to complete their wide range of
mudguards, a new easy-to-fit design of plastic mudguard bracket, and a new
family of extra strong toolboxes with T-handles will be the main features on
the stand of Oy Parlok Ab of Parainen, Finland (Hall No 26, Stand No.D34) at
the forthcoming IAA Commercial Vehicle Fair in Hanover, Germany, 23-30
September 2004.
New easy-to-fit mudguard brackets
The
highlight of the Parlok stand will be the new Parlok-Unifix™ easy-to-fit
plastic mudguard brackets designed for use with Parlok HDPE mudguards. They are
manufactured from strong polyamide plastic and are fitted to the mudguard by
means of a single bolt. Parlok-Unifix™ brackets, which are supplied,
pre-assembled, are adjustable to fit mudguard stay tube diameters from 32 mm to
50 mm. See Figs. 1 and 2. The company's adjustable P42 integrated bracket, made
of zinc-coated powder-painted steel plate and designed for use with Parlok
White Line and Parlok Supra mudguards, will also be on show.
New
flat-top HDPE mudguards
HDPE has high impact resistance, is
lightweight and withstands extremes of temperature, all of which properties
recommend it as an excellent material for the manufacture of mudguards.
To
produce HDPE components which meet EC directives for the design of mudguards
and spray-suppression systems for commercial vehicles, trucks and trailers,
Parlok employ the latest sheet extrusion technology and state-of-the-art
thermoforming techniques. Parlok's Quality Management System has been assessed
by BVQI and found to be in accordance with ISO 9001.2000.
The new 650FT
and 260FT flat-top mudguards (see Fig. 3) are the latest additions to Parlok's
range of spray suppression devices made of HDPE. Measuring 650 mm wide x 2310
mm long x 1290 mm span and 260 mm wide x 1300 mm long x 840 mm span
respectively, they come at the top and bottom of the company's FT range. A new
size of White Line mudguard measuring 450 mm wide x 1900 mm long x 650 mm
radius will also be on show .
Parlok's White Line, Supra integrated
spray suppression, and FT mudguards are believed to constitute the widest range
of mudguards available from a single manufacturer. Parlok's ProSider hinged,
side-valance system, which conforms to EC directive 89/297/EC and is the only
plastic side-guard system on the market, will also be on show.
New
high-strength, safety-locking toolboxes
Parlok is also launching a
completely new range of toolboxes (see Fig. 3), manufactured in impact
resistant HDPE, at the IAA Exhibition in Hanover. To be produced in a range of
widths - 550mm, 700 mm, 800 mm and 1000 mm - and offering maximum capacities
with original Parlok supports from 30 kg to 100kg, the new toolboxes have a
T-shaped handle with a cylinder lock for increased security. All locking parts
are made of steel. The new design features reinforcing ribs which give greater
strength and rigidity.
