The company, that specialise in composing music for television, multi-media, and film is building a reputation for high-quality sounds to accompany a wide range of different visual media.
Canon use the CD-Roms in their front-line marketing campaigns to boost awareness and understanding of their product range.
The new CD-Rom, designed and produced by Direct Design, will promote new Canon photocopier sales which follows closely behind a previous Canon CD-Rom success for Meteor Music. Direct Design commmissioned Meteor to produce, record and arrange the entire soundtrack for the product guide to digital cameras and scanners.
Soundtrack elements include a dynamic logo sting to launch the CD,
various background pieces to accompany the voice-over and several sound
effects including whirring photocopiers, mobile phones, aeroplanes,
popping champagne corks, laughing and children playing.![]()
Meteor Music's current client list includes the BBC, L!ve TV, and PW Image.
Fronted by Alex Buckley, a music graduate from Kingston University, and Nick Arundel who graduated from Sussex University with a degree in twentieth century music, the company has gained a reputation for detailed work and exceptional quality.
Alex said: "We offer broadcast quality music, be that theme tunes, logo stings or background loops, synched to picture for all ranges of multi-media, plus of course TV and film. Our work involves using a combination of live instruments, samplers and synthersizers as well as effects to produce a soundscape which reflects the identity of the client or the clients needs. Using our in-house digital studio we can create any styles from orchestral scores through to pop and few companies can draw on full classical training as well as specialist knowledge of current recording techniques."
